Wild Camping in Extreme Weather on Kinder Scout

This was my first-ever summit wild camp — and I chose Kinder Scout. The conditions were brutal, with strong winds, rain, and exposed terrain testing every bit of gear and willpower I had.

I’ve wanted to wild camp here ever since watching Paul Messner’s videos. In fact, he’s the one who inspired me to get into wild camping in the first place. So this wasn’t just another night outdoors — it was a personal challenge, a milestone, and a chance to reflect on how far I’ve come.

If you’ve ever thought about pushing yourself in wild conditions or ticking off your first summit camp, this is what it really looks like.
